Gonzaloism is a term used by rightists and revisionists to attack supporters and defenders of Chairman Gonzalo, the Communist Party of Peru, and the universality of protracted people's war. The term is vague, but can be understood to pejoratively refer to followers of the contributions of universal validity of Chairman Gonzalo or, in the case of Peruvian communists, Gonzalo Thought.
The term "Gonzaloism" is fundamentally unscientific because Gonzalo's universal contributions have not yet but defined as a fourth stage, unlike Marxism–Leninism–Maoism, thus failing to meet the standards of a new ism like Maoism.
Usage
"Gonzaloism" is seldom used by anyone but the enemies of Maoism. For instance, the right-liquidators in the Maoist movement in the United States use the term "Gonzaloism" to refer to any organizations or parties which are part of the International Communist League.[1]
