("Pre-party formation" is a concept that emerged outside of Maoism, in the 70s, closely linked with Avakianism. It is misleading in that it presents the organization that carries out reconstitution to be qualitatively identical to the Communist Party. It would be good to closely adhere to terms (which represent concepts) that were used by those who developed Maoism. Added a source for the list of organizations.)

The International Communist League (ICL) is an international grouping of Marxist–Leninist–Maoist parties founded in December 2022.[1] The ICL upholds Abimael Guzmán of the Shining Path and believes that protracted people's war is a universal military theory.[2] The ICL published the online newspaper Communist International.
