Caleb Maupin (1988–) is an American propagandist and cult leader[1] who is the founder and leader of the Center for Political Innovation, a patriotic socialist formation. He has contributed to the Russian state-owned propaganda outlet Russia Today and is an avid supporter and apologist for the Russian state and its imperialist actions.

Formerly a self-described Marxist–Leninist, he has abandoned communism and now advocates his own eclectic social-fascist tendency known as "innovationism". He currently is a supporter of Donald Trump's fascistic leadership.[2]

Ideology

Stance towards capitalists

Caleb Maupin maintains an eclectic ideology influenced by various revisionist and, increasingly, reactionary and fascistic thinkers. He has gained infamy in communist circles for his revisionist thesis that capitalists (namely, billionaires) do not in any manner contradict socialism.

"Communist Billionaires — No contradiction!"[3]

Malthusianism

Caleb Maupin commonly labels his political adversaries either "Malthusians" or "degrowthers", and essentially argues that communism entails infinite growth on a finite planet (the modus operandi of capitalism). Maupin's usage of the term "Malthusian" is incorrect as his enemies are rarely advocating the demographic theories of Thomas Malthus.

Influences

Caleb Maupin has stated that he views neo-fascist figure Lyndon LaRouche as a major influence on him and someone whom he regularly quotes.[4][5] He is also heavily influenced by the modern revisionist Communist Party of China, asserting that it is on the "cutting edge" of Marxism and encouraging his audience to read Xi Jinping's works.[6]
