Economic freedom is a term used by neoliberal and other capitalist propagandists to assess how "free" an economy is for the bourgeoisie. Countries which allow the most brutal forms of exploitation of the working class and lack fundamental protections such as the United States are ranked as more economically "free" than social democracies.
