The Revolutionary Communist Party USA (RCP) is a revisionist and opportunist political party and cult which is located in the United States of America. It was founded in October 1975 from the Revolutionary Union. The organization is heavily centered around its founder and current chairperson, Bob Avakian. Members of the RCP are often known as Revcoms.[1]

Ideological line

While initially a Marxist–Leninist–Maoist formation, the RCP would eventually degenerate into a small sectarian cult surrounding the eclectic inventions of Avakian. Today, the RCP upholds the so-called "New Synthesis" of communism.
