History

The Republic of China was formed in a bourgeois revolution which overthrew the Qing Dynasty in 1912. By 1927, the ruling party of the ROC, the Kuomintang became a reactionary force representing the feudalists, bureaucrat capitalists, and landlords and turned on the communists, purging them and starting a civil war.
