Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is a big-tent socialist organization in the United States. It was founded on March 20 1982 by Michael Harrington and others. The tendencies within DSA range from social democrats represented by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to self-proclaimed Marxist–Leninists and Maoists represented by Red Star and Liberation Caucus.
The Democratic Socialists of America is an associate member of the São Paulo Forum and member of the Progressive International.
