Terrorism is the use of terror as a means of coercion. Terror, in turn, is the use of violence in order to force your opponents to accede to your demands, and the extreme fear that this violence then creates in those opponents. Acts of individual terrorism are generally rejected by any legitimate Marxist as it is generally unproductive in the greater revolutionary struggle. However it is imposible to achieve revolution without instilling fear into the minds of the ruling class.[1][2][a]

Use as Slander by the Bourgeoisie

Many revolutionaries and revolutionary organizations are blindly labeled as terrorist by the state as well as by many foreign powers. The bourgeoisie uses this as an excuse to use torture, mass killing of civilians, terrorism and other human rights abuses.[3] Like in Peru under the Fujimori regime that committed many such acts of terror against the revolutionary masses led by the Communist Party of Peru.[4][5]

Excess in Revolution

In most revolutions there are bound to excesses which may lead to civilian casualties. If possible these mistakes must be investigated and rectified to try and prevent such incidents from recurring.[6][7]
