Liu Shaoqi[a][b] was a Chinese revisionist. He was the 2nd Chairman of the People's Republic of China and was on track to succeed Mao Zedong as Chairman until his ideological deviations and revisionism started to become clear. He was purged during the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution for his rightist deviations and disregard for Class struggle. He was later rehabilitated by fellow capitalist roader Deng Xiaoping in 1980.[1]
