Concrete labor refers to the specific act of creating a use-value (the practical utility of a thing to satisfy a want or need). For example, tailoring is a concrete labor that produces a coat, while weaving is a concrete labor that produces linen.

Concrete labor differs from abstract labor, which is the expenditure of human labor-power in general.
