Essay:Why defense of Stalin is critical for revolutionary movements

This is an essay explaining why defense of Joseph Stalin and his legacy is critical for revolutionary movements. To be a socialist means to uphold Stalin's role in synthesizing the ideas of Marx and Lenin, building socialism in the Soviet Union, and liberating Eastern Europe and Asia from fascism during the Second World War.

Anti-Stalinism is a revisionist and opportunistic stance that serves to reinforce the bourgeoisie's view that communism is an "unrealistic utopia" that can "never happen"; it denies the Marxist viewpoint that communism is an inevitable step in historical development and it denies Stalin's role in bringing us much closer to this historical step than anyone else.

The "anti-communist left" want you to believe that the only "pragmatic" way to bring about socialism is to merely alleviate the conditions of the workers under capitalism, thus they advocate for social democracy or democratic socialism. They claim that socialist revolution is "unrealistic" or "not necessary". This is directly in contrast to Marxism. They repeat bourgeois lies about Stalin being a "brutal dictator" who "killed millions". They eschew Marxism–Leninism and scientific socialism. They serve a counter-revolutionary role.
