The Congo
The Congo is a river in Africa, from which several historical and modern states are named. The Congo may refer to:
- Democratic Republic of the Congo, also known as Congo-Kinshasa
- Republic of Zaire, a fascist state which existed from 1971 to 1997
- Republic of the Congo, also known as Congo-Brazzaville
- People's Republic of the Congo, a socialist state which existed from 1969 to 1992
- People's Republic of the Congo, a rival government of Congo-Léopoldville declared by the Simba rebellion (1963–1965)
