The Central Committee of the Peruvian Communist Party was the leading force of the PCP's internal organization. Chairman Gonzalo was elected by the Central Committee in 1969. It was collapsed and splintered after the capture of Óscar Ramírez and other central committee members in 1999. Today the Reorganization Committee of the PCP has shown to be the new primary committee within the party. It is on track to fully reconstitute the party and reinitiate the people's war.[1][2][3][4]

Anti-Gonzalo Myths

Many Dengists and other revisionists claim that the Central Committee was only created after Gonzalo's capture and that Gonzalo was an autocratic leader with full dictatorial power over the organization. This is very clearly false as there are many documents and works from the central committee during and before Gonzalo became Chairman.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]
