Black Red Guard, also known as Chris Winston, is a revisionist and opportunist figure who is best known for his social media activity on platforms such as YouTube and forming several attempted Maoist organizations in the United States, the most recent of which is the Liberation Caucus of Democratic Socialists of America. He is an avid member of DSA.[1]
Positions
In a debate hosted in November 2025, Black Red Guard claimed that DSA was largely a revolutionary formation with the reformist elements being restricted to leadership. He also called the notion of splitting from rightist elements in DSA "wrecking" and suggested his loyalty to DSA took precedent to his dedication to Maoism.[2]
