Anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiments
(Redirected from Anti-LGBTQ+)

Anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiments encompasses multiple forms of bigotry and prejudice towards members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Particular forms include transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, etc. Anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiments often rely on moral panic and conspiracy theories. LGBTQIA+ movements and individuals are often portrayed by bigots as subversive and foreign, similar to earlier conspiracy theories targeting Jews and communists.
Anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiments, much like other forms of bigotry like racism, draw heavily from pseudo-scientific and anti-Marxist premises as justification.[1]
