The Communist Youth of Denmark (DKU) formerly Young Communists is a political organization that was founded on the 21st of November 2009 in Århus. The DKU is the spiritual successor of a political organization with the same name that was dissolved in 1990.
Organization
The organization was founded in 2009 under the name of Young Communists. After the organization's restart in in 2020 it was decided to change the name to the Communist Youth of Denmark.
Until 2023, the DKU was a party that was for both organized and unorganized people's, and had official cooperation with the Danish Communist Party, Communist Party (Denmark), and the formerly existing party Communist Party in Denmark, and had unofficial cooperation with the Worker's Communist Party. On the 3rd congress it was decided that members could not have membership in completing organizations or other organizations that practice democratic centralism in Denmark.
On the 4th congress, the DKU has become a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist organization, and effectively became a pre-party organization, it still calls itself the Communist Youth organization and still retains many rules that a youth organization should have.

The Communist Youth of Denmark is a full member of the World Federation of Democratic Youth.
