Hollywood, named after the neighborhood in Los Angeles, California, refers to the film industry in the United States. The United States government, particularly the Department of Defense and Central Intelligence Agency, are heavily influential in Hollywood and regularly manipulate or censor the contents of film productions and scripts to serve and influence public opinion in favor of imperialist interests.[1]
