Multipolarity is an opportunist and class collaborationist theory which places the primary conflict in the modern world as being between an "imperialist" Western camp represented by the United States and European Union and an "anti-imperialist" Eastern camp represented by Russia and China. Adherents of this theory perceive the imperialist efforts by both Russia and China as progressive, and believe that their victory will result in a utopian state of "multipolarity" in contrast to the "unipolar" world, rather than the Marxist aim for world communism.[1]

The concept of "multipolarity", as upheld by revisionists, can be understood as a modern rendition of Deng Xiaoping's "Three Worlds' Theory", both of which reject class struggle and socialist revolution in favor of upholding inter-imperialist rivalry between geopolitical blocs.
