Anti-imperialism composes movements and tendencies which oppose capitalist imperialism and support the liberation of peoples under the rule of imperialist states. Marxist–Leninists oppose imperialism, understanding it to be the highest form of capitalism, through revolutionary defeatism in the context of inter-imperialist conflict and support of progressive national liberation movements in the colonized countries.[1]
