The Communist Party of Ireland (CPI) is a revisionist political party in the Republic of Ireland. The party has been criticised of revisionism by anti-revisionist groups such as the formerly existing Communist Party of Ireland (Marxist–Leninist).
In 2022, a split in CPI occurred, leading to the formation of the Irish Communist Party (PCE). The cause of the split, according to PCE, was due to CPI "falling under the control of an opportunistic and anti-democratic faction".
