Revolupedia is an online revolutionary communist encyclopedia founded in June 2024.[1] It offers content relating to historical and current events and tendencies, Marxist–Leninist theory and ideology, and many other topics along with a library hosting revolutionary literature.[2]

History

Creation

Revolupedia was founded on June 22, 2024. It was initially a project operated by the Red Spectre organization, created to expand its educational initiatives. The concept for a collaborative Marxist–Leninist MediaWiki site was developed and implemented by Saul Wenger, who continues to serve as the main administrator of the project to the present.

Development

Between late 2024 to early 2025, Revolupedia would expand the size and scope of its content considerably, including the creation of a freely-accessible library of communist works, collected quotations from major Marxist thinkers, and a dedicated space for essays by Revolupedia editors. On February 22, 2025, the dissolution of the Communist Labor Organization (the successor to the Red Spectre) allowed Revolupedia to become an independent project; its ideological line, editorship, etc. were now derived from its own community rather than that of a separate organization.
