The Left Party is a capitalist, imperialist and social democratic political party in Sweden. The party claims to be socialist and anti-imperialist while in reality they support the same capitalist agenda as the other major parties and are more supportive of NATO and the EU than they claim to be. The party was communist until the revisionist and capitalist reforms of C.-H. Hermansson who became chairman of the party in 1964, that same year can be considered the year the party started following capitalism.
