Conservative socialism

Conservative socialism are nominally socialist tendencies which incorporate social conservatism and similar positions into their ideology. This manifests as anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiments, rightism, and social-chauvinism.

The notion of socialism being "conservative" violates foundational socialist principles, which hold that socialism is inherently progressive in comparison to previous modes of production and seeks to revolutionize relations between collectives to eliminate inequalities. Conservative socialism, on the other hand, seek to maintain these inequalities while only changing certain aspects of the base.
