Socialist patriotism

Not to be confused with patriotic socialism, a reactionary tendency found in the United States

Socialist patriotism refers to the patriotism developed by socialist states, celebrating progressive elements of their history and socialist achievements while maintaining fraternal and internationalist relations with other socialist countries. Socialist patriotism is not to be confused with the backwards nationalism of bourgeois, oppressor states or national communism, both of which undermine proletarian internationalism.
