Naxalism is the Guiding thought of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism applicable to most places in South Asia, primarily India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bengal and Manipur. The primary organization behind Naxalism is the Communist Party of India (Maoist). It is the guiding ideology of the ongoing People's war in India. It is named after the Naxalbari uprising, the peasant uprising which marked the beginning of the Indian revolution. It was primarily developed by Charu Majumdar.[1]
