The Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) is a revisionist and reformist party in the United States of America. It was formed in 2004 after it split from the Trotskyist Workers World Party, formed by Sam Marcy.

The party claims to be "Revolutionary Marxist", but its policies are nothing more than campism and reformism.

It views the People's Republic of China as "socialist" and argues that revolutionary anti-imperialists should militantly (and uncritically) defend China to stave off "counterrevolution, imperialist intervention and dismemberment", ironically only condemning its "Market Socialism".[1] The party also supports North Korea as "one of the few top-to-bottom, actually-existing, alternatives to the global capitalist system", and also supports Russian imperialism thorugh the annexation of Crimea, although putting the blame of the Invasion of Ukraine on NATO and the United States.

Breakthrough News

Breakthrough News is essentially the independent mouthpiece of PSL. co-founders Eugene Puryear, Brian Becker, and Rania Khalek serve as news anchors for the network. Breakthrough News hosts programs like "The China Report", a China apologia program where they defend Chinese social-imperialism and the latest developments of capitalism in China, and "The Socialist Program" hosted by Brian Becker, who likewise, upholds China as "socialist".

RT News

The members of PSL, like co-founders Eugene Puryear and Brian Becker (again), has been a talking head for RT news, a Russian state-owned news agency.[2][3]
