The Communist Workers' Platform USA (CWPUSA) is a revisionist organization in the United States formed in 2023 which claims adherence to Marxism–Leninism. The organization split from the Party of Communists USA and seeks to construct a communist party in the United States in place of CPUSA.[1] The primary publication of the CWPUSA is the New Worker.[2]
The organization, while opposing modern Russian and Chinese imperialism,[3] believes that the Soviet Union remained socialist even after its revisionist takeover and rejects the concept of social-imperialism and Maoism.[4]
International relations
In July 2023, CWPUSA held a conference under the slogan “Towards the Regroupment of the Communist Party!”. It was attended by representatives of the Communist Party of Mexico, American Council of Bolsheviks, ML Today, and Politsturm.[5]

"We recognize that the Soviet Union remained socialist until the Counterrevolution of 1989-1991. At the same time, we acknowledge that the country began its decline toward capitalist restoration following the Khrushchev faction's rise to power within the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. In this, we distinguish ourselves from those, such as Maoists, who consider the Khrushchev faction to have immediately restored capitalism and converted the Soviet Union into a "social imperialist" state."
