Cuba, officially the Republic of Cuba,[a] is a revisionist state located in Caribbean region of North America. The modern Cuban state was founded in 1959 and led by Fidel Castro and the Communist Party of Cuba, who would effectively turn Cuba into a semi-colony of the revisionist Soviet Union.[1] In the present day, Cuba remains one of the few revisionist states still existing and has since realigned itself with the Russian and Chinese camp of imperialism.[2]
