"Maoist" spontaneism aka Mao-spontex was a tendency within the French New Left. It was generally closer to Anarchism and Libertarian socialism than Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. It was primarily represented by Gauche Prolétarienne and the Vive la révolution Party. It generally rejects most aspects of Marxist-Leninist-Maoist theory such as the Vanguard party.
